What is the logic in "life after death"?

Steve, do you have doubts in your mind that doctrine of "eternal hell" in the bible is a BIT in the zone of "psychopathic masochistic wet dreams"?

No. It is eternal separation from God directly resulting from our free choice to reject him. God does not put us there, our actions put us there.

Don't you think that simple erasing of the souls consciousness is a more just punishment for rejecting Gods good will? Coincidently that's what most of the non believers believe into.

I feel like hell and especially eternal is a masochistic wishful thinking.

Apparently once created, the soul is eternal. Part of being made in the image of God. I see no reason to characterize it over and over as "masochistic wishful thinking". What point are you trying to make?

Eternal hell is 100% unjust, no matter how you look at it. And its amazing how believers manage to sell this masochistic worldview.

This is my opinion:

First of all it needs to be understood that Heaven is not a physical place. It is best described as a "state of being," if you will. Heaven is when our hearts and minds reach a stage that is consumed with pure love and goodness. We are super close to God, which is Himself the source of love and goodness. Since we were made for love and from love, reaching the stage of being consumed by it makes us perfectly happy and perfectly fulfilled. Hence it being called "Heaven" and "Paradise," etc.

We were all meant for Heaven. That is the plan and intent God has for us, and that is His wish. But God wanted us to be conscious, intelligent creatures who could think, rationalize, and act in ways that are free from pure instinct and natural programming. It is in this level of consciousness and awareness that we can experience the most joy and the most love. God wanted that for us. But with that level of consciousness, comes something else: free will.

This life is our opportunity to use that free will, so that we can live as the rational, conscious, and aware beings God created us as. We can ultimately choose the path God intends for us (Heaven), or we can choose against it (Hell). But that awareness and intelligence that we have as humans and that we continue to develop in this life will allow us to experience the fullness of Heaven, our intended "destination."

^Yes.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

First, I'm not sure you know the meaning of masochistic.

Second, both we and God are eternal beings. One eternal being rejecting another has..guess what...eternal consequences. While you complain that is unjust, what is your reasoning that it is unjust?

Please provide some testable evidence for this god thing you worship, and show why I should believe in it rather than Zeus, Odin, or any of the thousands of other gods men have invented.

It is unjust because, this god only gives us about 70 or so years, with minimal or no evidence, contradictory ancient texts, thousands of competing gods, etc, etc, to figure it out.

Then he has the audacity to claim that it was our choice.

Sorry, but if he wanted a just system for us to choose him, he shouldn't have created one that relies to much on gullibility.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

I like the use of the word "apparently". Has no meaning in this context.

Eternal consequences for not believing in something there is no evidence for.  For giving us the capability of reason, and punishing us for using it
