White people assuming other white people like Trump

Wearing a t-shirt that says "Fuck Trump" should alert other white folks that you are not a fan.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

I was so vocally derisive and dismissive of Trump during the campaign that my disdain for him is well known at work. The only person who goes there with me is my boss, a Trump supporter who enjoys a good political tussle.

I don't encounter it much in other public places, which is probably a good thing, since I'd likely say what I really think.

OP, the best thing to do is to inform people you don't like discussing politics.

RE: White people assuming other white people like Trump
I was on vacation in Vegas during the cowboy christmas, last year. I know that because a lot of my extended family fly in from time to time to partake of the good ol southern festivities. Which btw are just as repititious and uninspired as the gun show open every month on the same day year round. stalls upon stalls of the same merchandise. Anyways. I'm just some army vet who learned everything is a lie the hard way. But I'm white so... I'm sitting on the airplane, and some dude sits down next to me wearin' a cowboy hat and other southern attire. I'm like... geeze why am i so paranoid that he is going to try to talk about trump to me? Oh thats right, it's that social anxiety thing fuckin with you again. Don't worry we are fine. No one ever talks to me on planes anyways. Practically a gray man over here. "So what do you think about trump?" .... fuck.

"I don't like him." I say. wondering why this guy is making everything super awkward right now.
"why not?" he asks indignantly.
"I don't think he is very good at debating." i say awkwardly.
He just kinda lets out a disappointed sigh and pulls his cowboy hat down and goes to sleep.
That went better than the scenario in my head was speculating. still though, what the fuck.

I just don't make eye contact with anyone and they tend to think I'm a bitch and leave me alone.

Works pretty well.

I live in SC, which went for Trump by 10 points. SC is about 28% African American, and it's probably safe to say that 88% of those broke for Clinton; so I live in a state where most likely about 58% of whites voted for Trump. My county broke for Trump in a big way (almost 80% to about 35%), but I'm right outside of a county that went for Clinton (64% to 31%). I socialize in Columbia, which is only five minutes away from my home and is a college town; so despite living in SC, my personal experience is that the white people I run into are more likely to have not voted for Trump (my boss notwithstanding). But if I'm in the city of Lexington, it's reasonable to assume that 80% of the white people I encounter are Trump voters. And they'll probably assume I'm one, too.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

I say confuse the shit out of both sides and proudly wear a shirt that declares that you voted for Rocky de la Fuente!

I suppose then, that I'm fortunate to live in a place where the overwhelming consensus is that Trump would lose a pub quiz to a colony of intellectually challenged cherry stone clams.

NC here, it has flipped in presidential elections but is very red otherwise, although we managed to pull our heads out of our butts and elected a democrat gov. Unfortunately Cooper is having to deal with an obstructionist majority state GOP majority. Morons are still stuck on HB2 and have even attempted to pass laws stripping him of powers.

Democratic party blew it in the rust belt this time. Obama said it right about his Iowa win. Dems cant rely solely on minorities/women/cities and suburbs. We need to expand our map in every state.

We need to vote in every election Nov 17 as well, not just 18 or 19 or 20 but every year, and every local/state election too.

County races, state wide, congress, it's the whole package.

Staring at them for an uncomfortably long time works too.
