Be pressured into conversion therapy were you can and people are and have been driven to suicide. As for rape look up the percentage of rapists who go free .Or rape cases that are thrown out on legal loop holes. Or the number of woman in my own country of native origin who go missing with no investigation for decades. (see the Robert Pickton case) Or the many many woman who have reported dissatisfaction with how rape cases are treated in court or by the police.( for fuck sake we just had a judge rule that if a woman is drunk and raped it doesn't count as rape)( Or fired a judge 6 years later for telling a rape victim to close her legs) I work in this field professionally my friend .
As for the middle east your generalizing . As for Muslims in the west opinion polls and studies tend to lack nuance . As I have worked with Muslim families for close to 10 years mainly new immigrants and many many many don't share said views . And of those who are homophobic few advocate death.
That is the sad truth with a lot of western society, I've known a few homosexuals in my life and a lot of their stories are not of a kind nature. Being exiled from your family, mocked, and assaulted as you said. This whole "we are tolerate of a home-sexual" is a completely hypocritical statement. If your going out of your way to make that clear to people, then you have issues. Actions speaks louder then words. Let's say Microsoft is accused of not being friendly company to work for if your home-sexual. All they would have to do is hire is hire some transgender and homo-sexual employees and not be too loud in the media about it. That solves their problem with the image being abused by critics.
Woman and men being abused and mocked in court for a legitimate rape is an austerity. But, there little that can be done at the moment. Our culture is still male dominated, until this "macho" culture is put to rest and woman are taken more seriously in the political, sciences, and the tech fields; we will not see a great change. Another problem I have is the fashion and photo-shopping or the image manipulation fields. Stop making these models(Male and Female) appear that they are without flaws. This is sexism and it's causing major issues in the mental health of people around the world. People do not look like this, and you will never look the model on the cover. I know this issue will only get worse, but their is not point to make an attempt to stop it. If it masks the ugly truth, it's an acceptable fact people kill them selves everyday over the issues of appearance and the fact that no one believes you were raped or your to ashamed to admit that you were.
Most you know how I think, the stye I prefer is to stay out of the way until something effects me directly. It's just way I am, I rarely stand up for another. It's not something I'm proud of, it's just I prefer to avoid a headache and to lose time for stuff I want to do. So, think what you like about me or my opinions. I make a lot valid points, in a context which that can be hard to understand.
