And just as blatantly absurd to lie about the EU going down the shitter. But please don't let me stop you.
Oh, I see that you decided to also lie about Scotland mostly being evenly split, then post the results which expose that lie. Sucks to be you.

'Cause the Eurozone isn't in trouble, the continent isn't covered in anti-Brussels graffiti, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Ireland aren't screwed, Britain hasn't lost tens of thousands of jobs and billions in revenue due to Brussels failure to conclude the FTA with India.
Claiming the EU is going anywhere other than down is disingenuous.
As demonstrated the Edinburgh vote is massively out of line with the rest of Scotland and whilst all constituencies returned a remain result nowhere else returned a significant majority.

I don't know what you were trying to do, but you've literally just posted evidence proving that I was right and you were wrong. You can argue that some areas are more "evenly split" than others, but the referendum showed that the majority of Scots were against leaving the European Union.
Me? I used to be strongly in favour of it. I am sort of on the fence but slightly leaning towards Brexit these days if that makes sense. There was a lot of fearmongering on both sides.

I was saying that the picture is a lot more complex than that presented by the single Leave/Remain result which seems to have gone over the heads of some...
The result was not down to hard "Brexiteers" (whoever they are...) or solid 'Europhiles' but by the fence sitters. but I guess some people aren't ready for a nuanced position.
Presumably they're happier denying reality and making strawmen arguments...

I am strongly pro-European and am fuming that part of my identity is being wrested from me by a group of people who bought into the lies about Europe being so bad. I see no good coming from the split. Really what good can possibly come of it? Genuine question what?

The choice was ultimately between short term financial volatility (leave) and long term economic decline (remain).
As such we are progressing as we expected, hardly any excuse to start jumping up and down like a demented loon.
Brussels needs serious reforms, that has been obvious since at least Maastricht, what is equally obvious is that it isn't going to happen.
Brussels remains in a coma despite the "wake-up call".
As such the decision to leave became inevitable as Brussels avoided every opportunity to turn the result around.
The ball was in their court and they did nothing.

How is your pro european identity being wrested from you? Not being facetious, i've heard this from quite a few people, and just don't understand why leaving the EU stops people being able to identify as European (pro or otherwise)?

I would have to assume he means his passport. The need to obtain visas will be a bind but not an insurmountable obstacle.
There is a Dutch politician IIRC who is proposing an individual EU passport for Brits, if that pans out I'd be first in line for two, one for me, one for my son.
If he's making some more... intangible statement he needs to clarify what he is referring to.

They don't seem in a great hurry to resolve the issue of EU/UK expats.
Very dissapointed with the pedantry of what should have been a formality.
What ever. So called G20 wants to hang out in Hamburg in July 2017.
What's your plan for keeping them away from peacefull natives who don't care what ever it is they wanna sell to humanity?
Be my guest, my friend, if you have no place to stay when you're ready for that kind of (imaginary) battle. Just pm me. I have a room for yah, pal.

Hamburg? Must admit I only saw the station when I was changing trains.
