Well if we're going into that kind of specifics, I guess I'm not so British
I am by birth, not by family. I need to do one of those DNA tests so bad haha

I've got some English and Welsh in the woodpile, though I'm mostly of German descent with some Blackfoot thrown in.
TL/DR: I'm a mutt.

In those kind of specifics I have recent ansestors from Poland, Russia/Ukraine. Also England, Ireland and possibly Spanish. I might consider one of those DNA tests I'd have to look into it. I bet my family would find it interesting aswell.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

I bet my family would find it interesting aswell. Yeah I love this kind of thing, and it can be hard to find sometimes too. My Grandfather on my Mother's side (who had always assumed he was fully Irish) found out he actually had recent Bavarian ancestry a few years ago when he traced his family back. Sometime during the World Wars period the family had lost any trace of it, we think it might have been deliberate given the political climate around the time.
I also have French on my mother's side (from my Grandma) and my Dad's family were from Malta.
My Mom's family are very culturally assimilated as British people though and do not stand out at all, so for all intents and purposes their ancestry doesn't mean a great deal now. I barely claim it apart from in discussions like this.

As far as my recognized family, Irish, Scottish,English, and Norman mainly. A relative of mine also traced things back to the Romans somehow. A DNA test might be interesting if I had the money, as I don't know anything about my dads family except they have an uber Scottish last name.

Brits are desperate, Scots are unintelligible, the Welsh do unspeakable acts to sheep and everyone forgets Ireland until they need a tax shelter.
While Britain was for large periods of time Irish, Ireland was never truly British.
(bold mine) It most certainly was, and Henry II had the receipt from the Pope to prove it.

Genetically I'm either 100% or 87.5% British (I'm an 8th Irish but I dunno which half of Ireland that is so I dunno whether that constitutes also British or not).
I'm only 3 quarters English either way though.

There's so much historical intermixing between Irish and British people anyway, that there's probably no such thing as a person of either ethnicity who has NO ancestry from the other.
You'll never find anyone of any ethnicity who is 100% one thing anyway. If you take British people, the average British person who has family extending back centuries here, they'll have indigenous Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Viking, Norman, maybe even "Roman" ancestry, based on historical conquests.

British and Scottish by birth (as I said previously in the thread), unsure about a lot of the details of my family history, but quick research seems to point to Scotland and Northern Ireland. I was thinking about taking one of those tests from 23andMe and maybe one from Ancestry, as it would certainly be nice to know a bit more about it.
