By the sun and its morning. ( 2 ) And [by] the moon when it follows it

He must be real.  No lowly humans could ever figure that one out.

Oh, wait...

Yes, and he gave it an immense importance.

An ignorant person would never give the skies any impotence; usually treat the sun and the moon as a given. Their existence is the base of our realization of reality; counting days and arranging our time is just a function of their shining and reflection.

Isn't it also weird to have a verse that holds human responsible for the bad acts they commit?

So, I'm a deity because I know those things and give the sky and the things in it importance?

And I also hold people responsible for their actions.

Cool!

Now I just have to choose my god/goddess name.

He is unstinting in his efforts, so It's only a matter of time before he reaches MK's current level.  Although where MK would be by then is any jihadi's guess.
I actually consider AtlasS33 and MK nice human beings. I would break bread with them.

I'd probably end up breaking bread over them.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

The Quran has this verse, though:

Sura 4, page 77, The Quran:
( 6 )   And test the orphans [in their abilities] until they reach marriageable age. Then if you perceive in them sound judgement, release their property to them. And do not consume it excessively and quickly, [anticipating] that they will grow up. And whoever, [when acting as guardian], is self-sufficient should refrain [from taking a fee]; and whoever is poor - let him take according to what is acceptable. Then when you release their property to them, bring witnesses upon them. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant.

If God chose you to be a prophet, who am I to object?
But you lack convincing signs like the Quran, or giving birth to Jesus, you don't have a cane that turns into a snake and your hand doesn't turn white.

The Sura is quite strange for its time. Quite modern? Why would a bedwin Sheppard care about such things?
He didn't abuse kids. Rather defined a new age for them, took them out of the dark ages they used to roam.

Anomalocaris

No; I realize that this is an internet forum made for people to read useful stuff, meet new persons.

chimp3

Thank you, chimp3 :Smile I would do the same

No bread for you, Stimbo. Also you won't get to taste my fantastic coffee recipe.
It is one spoon of instant beans without sugar. I love black coffee. But you're not getting any. This is a joke.

OK! So, a merchant culture creates rules for property distribution. Not enough to impress upon me a divine source. Once you have invented the hammer the concept of a nail is soon to follow.

Perfect. I can't stand coffee.

It was a change in the mentality; property distribution rules only accompanied that huge shifting of mentality.

Don't heat it; eat a loaf cold with a tiny piece of Tahnya -Tahnya; not Taheena-. It tastes awesome!

What about tea? you can boil it with milk, then add mint to the drink.

I prefer Assam or Darjeeling, no milk (barbarian!). Earl Grey if you have it.

They are a bit light sabre shaped, Asda used to do buy one get one free and I had small boys.
