I enjoy doing Yoga (the western breathing techniques and exercise), but as a spiritual philosophy it is utter balogna.
This thread is hilarious, though. Particularly Neo pointing and laughing at Riks silly beliefs. The irony is delicious. I need popcorn to watch the outcome. What indeed was Rik driving at with his dated question about elements? I hope he will.....enlighten us. Pun intended.

I'm not sure what problem Jesus being crucified twice is supposed to solve, but Scripture is unyielding on the topic, and I presume Christian theologians are working on it.  In the science realm, when seeming contradictions arise, they are viewed as opportunities to explore/revise/experiment more as opposed to 'religion' where such things as Jesus getting the cross twice just invoke an awkward silence and then they move on to more BS . . .

Is the moon being simultaneously 500 and 1000 miles away that big of logical stretch for folks who are sincere believers in their Holy Bible being 100% literally true and 100% inerrant, and therefore they are required to sincerely believe Christ was crucified twice for their sins ?


Or for our Mormon readers here, is it that big of a logical stretch for folks who sincerely believe their God managed to punt every single revelation given to Joe Smith and Brigham Young so badly that most had to be revised by him two more times to get them right ??

BTW, it occurs to me if someone is practicing their religion to such a decrepit degree of excrescence so as to invite the likes of me to mock it, unmercifully (and I note, accurately) then perhaps they either need to knuckle down and get it right, or go religion shopping for another brand that is not so easily made fun of ??

Speaking of Mormonism, the religion itself is a testament to the gullibility of humanity. Scientology is another one.

We have actual proof that these religions were created by con men who wanted merely to spread their personal brand of madness. An insanity that infected others rather too easily.

It does not take a huge leap of understanding to realize that it is the same for all religions.

I wholly agree with you that logic is very often just tossed out the window by the religious types for the sole purpose of fantasy maintenance. And yet I myself can't reason this way. I guess I'm "stuck" having to logically defend my positions while people like Little Rik can just get away assertions based on faith and intuition. 

I was probably wrong about Little Rik when I gave my first answer. I thought he was seriously asking some questions to prove a point about science. I now believe he doesn't care one whit about having any kind of discussion concerning science or any other topic.

He wants to preach.
