amazing to contemplate how  the world has changed since Stonewall

I'm not a prude by any means (though underage people all sexual is creepy for sure), but I do think there's something about prom that lends to leaving something up to the imagination. Let them go half naked to parties that aren't hosted by the school, ya know?

Your inner parent is showing.  Big Grin

Yeah, I really think the world is getting to be a better place where rote hate against selected victim groups is concerned. It ain't "all better", but it's a lot better. Glad they had a good time, and you are a world-class parent, Judi.

RE: question for my son
as noted by several judges during several gay marriage litigations, opposition side just couldn't come up with anything besides "Godseddso" for a rationale, and as those judges noted, that ain't enough.

One even famously noted the entire case presented to him by the opposition was in fact only a good argument for banning divorce, not furthering a ban on gay marriages. A fundamental inability to advance a cogent argument doomed them, the emperor's new clothes parable springs to mind.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

A little self loathing keeps me centered.

Thanks everyone. They had such a great time and I'm especially glad that my son got to wear what he wanted. If they would have turned him away, I was fully prepared to contact the ACLU.
