I think I'm on about 6.

I normally walk around at about a 7.

Whether I have ups or downs I normally level off to a point where I'm still mainly laughing and smiling to myself through the day.
I'm fairly happy to just be walking around work as long as I've got a few decent people to talk to.
I definitely know a few things that would bump me right up to a 7 or 8 though.

High mood. Just naturally and emotionally. I don't use any substances besides the occasional drink of alcohol.

To me, empty would be 0. Being numb was always worse than being sad. Sadness felt like something. Pain felt like something. Numbness was terrifying. It's like I wasn't even there. Wasn't even alive. I wanted to change it, but still couldn't care enough. I wanted it to stop, but I couldn't care enough. 5 would be alright. Not extatic, not sad.

Just sayin'. FWIW, I hope you get better.
