Well...

IDK.....................
I swear I had nothing in mind writing this comment, except the acknowledging of the fact!

So it'll be a super conversation starter:
"What's your name"?
"tima..
Saint..Fatima"
"Cool !"
"Yes.. it goes back to Ancient Arabia"...
"And so on".

It would be a cool conversation. Just dope.

He has similar views to yours regarding islam. But we are a peaceful oeople, so are the portuguese muslims. We want no shit. We have economy to work for.

Portugal's reputation is all about soccer here; Christiano Ronaldo and all.

Sounds like a cool guy this Sheikh Munir, if Muslims would just put more force into building the economy's of their local communities instead of spreading hate and negative emotions against people of different faiths, things would've changed for the best.

Meanwhile ABOARD THE PAPAL PLANE Pope Francis calls bullshit on Marian apparitions in Medjugorje.

In the following years, the Bosnian village became a major pilgrimage site, giving many visitors a renewed sense of spirituality and locals a steady source of much-needed revenue. [and what other places are not sources of revenues?]
It also became the focus of controversy as local Franciscan priests running the site promoted their claims in such open defiance of warnings from the Vatican that some were expelled from the order and the local bishop called them schismatic.
Some of the alleged visionaries, now adults, say they still experience apparitions regularly, and that the Madonna tells them ahead of time when she will appear to them.

Oh, but how can it be fake when so many genuine Christians have felt it was real? Even Jim Caviezel went there to replenish his Christian experience that can only come from genuine Marian visitations.

Could... Could it be that all those Christians are delusional even by Christian standards? Just look at all those delusional bastards:

I mean all those supposed healings told by Franciscans! It turns out they were just dirty liars. Not to mention Franciscans who above all are supposed to be about poverty are mocked even by a pope.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

RE: Well, the pope came to Portugal
You know Pope is in an interesting position now because from what I can see most Catholics are not happy about this and even questioning whole notion of papacy. Because, as you may know, Christians don't like to be proven wrong when it comes to their beliefs. So pope became almost like Dawkins when it comes to Medjugorje.

And I guess most people would think "why doesn't he just green lights it? It's already bringing money, people have accepted it, it's always good that these imaginary beings have some 'proof' of existence."
But this is where vanity of the Pope and Vatican comes in. The main problem with Medjugorje is that Marian "witnesses" are still alive. In all other cases Mary was "seen" by kids that died quickly afterward. But here if the pope proclaims it "genuine" then those witnesses would have status of some sort of half-gods. I mean these are people that are supposedly visited by "god" being herself, heck maybe they could even write some new chapters to the Bible.
They could maybe even become more popular then the Pope himself (heck Pope isn't visited by Jesus mother). So you see, it's clear and simple.
