If there are no gods, doesn't making one's self a god make one a theist?

It occurred to me while playing Dragon Age Inquisition.

Corypheus, a magister/darkspawn, entered the Black City, the game's equivalent of real life's Heaven, and he found the thrones empty.

Therefore, he decided that he would become a god in a world where people prayed and did not have their prayers answered because there were no gods to answer those prayers.

In essence, doesn't him making himself a god make him a theist?

After all, in our world today merely the belief in a god makes one a theist, even if there is no evidence of that god's existence.

An existent heaven devoid of God(s) is different . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Since in naming himself god he won't be believing in a higher power than himself whom he might worship, hence he would be an atheist! Tongue

Since god of the bible mentions other gods, that makes him a theist who acknowledges other gods in existence.

If one worships a god, then he himself isn't the highest power a.k.a god

Doesn't history tell us that this does not work out to well for the people who try it? Caligula? Hitler? Ayn Rand? Marshall Applewhite? jesus?

Humans as individuals, families and groups in our history have always fancied their ideas as a cure, but no.

God/god/s/supernatural/deity DO NOT EXIST.

Can humans act out their fantasy? Yes, but that does not make any god real.

Humans are not God/god/s deities/ super natural because no such thing exists.

I'd only say that may do protect a club far too often because that is what they are raised with.

Yes, if you believed that you were god, you'd be a Theist. Also mentally ill.

And if a god doesn't believe in itself is that low self esteem or blasphemy?

I'm not sure. Maybe it is a demonstration of its humility?
