Well you can laugh at it after the fact sure.  Big Grin

I do like a stupid criminal story too.

I've seen stories of idiots leaving their real IDs at the store they just robbed.

Heard one long ago where a guy robbed a deli jumped into the trunk of a car to hide, idiot didn't know it was an UNMARKED POLICE CAR.

You gotta love that shit, makes the cop's job real easy.

But no, he he, we aren't supposed to encourage them to find another crime.  Tongue

Yea, in that case you'd be right for trying. I hope they find that fucker.

I saw a video of a famous car chase where the carjacker dumped the baby in the car seat out the door, that was fucking sick. I am quite sure he didn't have a fun time in prison.

Even with issues of getting into a war, or being a police officer, I would never want anyone taking that job thinking it is all about kicking ass and Gung Ho revenge. In the real world taking any dangerous job on requires stress control and training which most laypeople dont have or even understand.

I understand her emotional reaction and anger sure, but she really could have gotten seriously hurt or died.

Yea but you talk to some people and they think those who wash out should be put in the gas chamber.

There is a reason people wash out of the police training or military, and it isn't because they are bad, but some simply cant do it. Just like some neurosurgeons can work on a brain but have to take their car to a mechanic.

You don't just weed out the gung ho nuts, you also weed out the physically and or mentally unfit. Some people are simply not cut out for those jobs. It doesn't make one a bad person if you aren't cut out for it.

Vetting happens for every job. Medical degrees require 8 to 12 years of college vetting and even then you have to take a state board test, same with getting a law degree.

I certainly want my police and military knowing what they are doing and not killing the wrong person/people. Even the ones who make it unfortunately can see really horrible things and end up having PTSD and taking it out on themselves and or their family when the are home.

I simply hate it when people even with training act as if anyone has the ability to do it just because they did.

There is alot more to reality than an individuals good intent.

And again, even SHE said to a news crew, that was not the best idea. At least that layperson was willing to admit it, that to me took real courage.

I heard about one in some southern state who decided to hold up a bar full of patrons, all of whom drew guns on him, and he decided to shoot it out.

Gotta love the dumb ones.

She may have had a child in the car.
