Case in point, this visit to Europe was supposed to be a full blown NATO conclave with a week long series of serious policy sessions, right up until the point when the State and Defence departments contacted the rest of the NATO countries and pleaded with them to downgrade it to a photo op and dinner, where stuff could be put to Trump that he would agree to and claim credit for, while being totally non-consequential.

His lecture to Nato is weapons grade bullshit . No one owes America shit this is a military alliance not a country club. And even members that don't pay the 2% contribute in other ways . And this is not America doing the world a favor the alliance is important to America's security as well .

I could write an Obama survival guide now that I went through his administration. It was a learning experience for sure. Trump should be a breeze since he has no science to back him and his cohorts. I think Mitch McConnell has said he's now basically making the same decisions a Jeb Bush would. Or any standard Republican.

Trumps "leadership style" reminds of prime minster RB Bennett (he was PM during the depression ) He was often criticized to being over bearing  and arrogant and  autocratic when it came to decision making  . And may very well have extended to depression by 5 years in Canada . I think there is a lesson there .
