To the OP.

Can you please define for me what "sexual normalcy" is?

Over the centuries, and longer, we've had people attracted to the same sex, to children, to the elderly, to corpses, to themselves, to animals, and to inanimate objects.  Hell, in multiple states in the US bestiality is perfectly legal but there are many conservatives in those states who are against marriage equality.

There is also some evidence that same sex attraction serves an evolutionary niche.  If it wasn't natural it wouldn't occur in nature.  But it does.

I thinks more about thinking about a healthy sexual society.  We can operate under "normal conditions" with many sexual fetishes that have less negative impacts than alcohol does.  But thinking that its "normal" or "natural" for sexual abuse and degrading sexual habits is as bad as pushing prudish habits only.

I agree about gay marriages.  I don't look at evolution, but if we Look at the number of 'regular marriages" that fail.  To point to a gay marriage and claim "that's evil but our failing way is "righteous" seems very silly to me too.

There are men who are attracted to women, and men, or just women or just men. That's sexual orientation. Sexual identity can be totally different, for instance that man could identify as a female. Hell you could have two males who identify as women, in a lesbian relationship with one another.

Humans are given the ability to orient and love however they want by nature. Why then is it so unnatural to let us do so legally so long as it doesn't hurt us or our partner(s)? 2 consenting adults should be the only requisite, IMO.

I find it very hard to admit this as of now but ever since I left Islam I have never been able to shake the fact that I absolutely despise atheist's majority opinions. Many atheists are liberal, socially progressive and completely illogical in areas of politics and emotional control. I have done my utmost best to rationalize why this is so and the more I attempt to, the more I desire religion to be in my life. On the other hand I cannot take religion seriously because of its illogical assertion of deities which is even more irrational to me. 

Boy oh boy. Your post is a mish mash of vapid assertions without any supporting evidence. For example, homosexuality IS normal in homo sapiens. This has been demonstrated so conclusively that I'm quite frankly surprised to find someone not convinced by the mountain of overweening evidence.

Secondly, marriage is a socio-economic convention with deep historical roots. You dismiss out of hand of hand that same-sex marriage is "logical" without providing any further argument or evidence in support of your claim. Why is homosexuality incompatible with evolution? Why is homosexual marriage illogical?

If you're just going to write a screed of your own opinion without justifying why you believe what you do, why should anyone bother to listen to you or take you seriously?

I'm an atheist, who despises morons, like you, who don't understand evolution. There's nothing in evolution theory, that opposed gay rights, for example. Most mammal species display a certain amount of homosexual  behaviors and it's not a problem. In fact, it can often be beneficial. Only simpletons and macho-posturing c*nts see evolution as a race to procreate. There are countles examples of animal species, where a large proportion of specimens are unable, or "unwilling" to procreate, yet their "societies" survive and are bettet for it - like social insects, or pack mammals.

As for my statement about homosexuality. It is not productive evolutionary nor is a union of homosexual pairs a norm, especially in primates. You do not see any animal on earth using hierarchy to legitimize mating or sexual pairs yet so many atheist think a National Daddy needs to give them permission. That is all I am stating and that alone gives you enough fire to make an idiot out of yourself. 

In all your education they never covered the naturalistic fallacy? It does not follow that because something isn't conducive to reproductive success, that no one should do it and no one should be allowed to do it. It does not follow that we should not use the apparatus of government to protect minorities because they aren't following the same traditions as the majority.

You are talking to a former Hanafi Muslim so I am familiar with how Islam handles homosexuality in accordance to the kutab al-Sittah and I obviously do not agree with it nor do I care with what people do in their bedroom at all unless it involves a girl who looks like an anime loli. <--- humor

But why is this relevant? I am only curious about the variety in atheism. Even in my college life I have experienced some variety in atheism yet every single atheist I encountered was completely despicable or just intellectually dishonest. The only reasonable 'atheists' I ever metal were apatheistic towards religion although clearly expressed no belief in a deity. So this only leaves me puzzled as I have been an atheist for years. Even by the time I left Islam I was already in norm with many opinions held by atheist. I was officially booted out of Muslim groups for showing "love towards kufur."

Don't get me started on Muslims and their obsession with getting rid of love and their lengthy rants on how it is sinful to show kindness to others. You would be begging to socialize with a fundie Christian in a matter of minutes.
