It never ceases to amaze me how theists have all the answers to the universes deepest mysteries.
What would really galvanise me is if a theist said: I hear you Jim, but I cannot speak or think for God, so I cannot answer your question. I'm sorry.
So who needs a god anyway when we've got billions of little god clones walking around with all the answers.

I think it would be just wrong to accuse black holes -for example- or the sun in a dark night -as an other example- for not showing themselves.
If the sun -for example- showed itself in front of you, you will evaporate.
If a black hole -for example- showed itself in front of you, you'll evaporate.
Theists claim that God is the creator of these celestial bodies; let alone the Islamic claim that 7 heavens exist; or with the humble science we have we can interpret that as 7 universes ? it's a scientific fact that such universes probably exist; to infinity even.
It just arrogant to expect the creator of all of that to appear in front of you. You can see hollywood stars on T.V only; they never appear in front of me. I know they exist because prophets of the media told me via T.V. I believe in God just like the prophets told me via holy books.
I can see the work of God around me; just like I see the work of Edward Norton.
It's an argument from design at its best. I just think it's quite not right to believe movie sets and neglect holy books and celestial evidence.

It would be silly to accuse mindless things of anything....are we discussing a mindless thing..like the sun, or a black hole?
What arrogance is there? God has, purportedly, shown himself before...-and now-...to all of these believers.....hell....you just said that you see god in a roundabout way......?
Who believes movie sets...................................and do you really want to invite comparison between one work of fiction and another, and the people who believe in either?

No; I didn't "see" God; but I'm sure that "He is there".
Just like believing a movie was recorded; because I saw it and used cameras myself.
There's the personal, Humanoid God, I never believe in such thing. "Thinking" and applying the human prescriptive on him is where I think and believe faith gets twisted into the hideous forms we see mainly.
Once we begin applying human traits on God; we lose the way.
