I've never been part of an online thing before,
so I'm learning how to navigate this site.
Basically just curious about what other atheists think and experience.

Welcome.
What I think?
One of my thoughts is that religion is an insult to the intelligence and integrity of the human mind.

Hi!
I think I need to brush my teeth, get a glass of water and set my alarm clock. Wondering where I left my notebook and which car keys to take. All of that very atheistically, of course.

I tend to think of it as a straitjacket for the intellect. Strapping one's own mind (and heart) into it is one thing, albeit a terribly sad one; making kids want to do it too should be recognised as the crime against humanity that it is.
Welcome, desert!
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
