Ken Ham's Creation museum is FAILING!!!!!

RE: Ken Ham's Creation museum is FAILING!!!!!
Even if the entire premise wasn't based on pure bullshit, it doesn't seem like the place is that interesting for its intended demographic. Even dyed-in-the-wool shithead parents who are convinced that indoctrination of their children is absolutely required of them in the eyes of their celestial dictator would be hard-pressed to make the journey to Kentucky of all places for reinforcement lessons. It's a museum, not an amusement park, so even the name is a lie. I've heard the food (buffet style) isn't that great (come on, AIG, you should have at least been able to match Ikea in quality!) so that's not much of a consolation for the admission price tag. What investor in all honesty could possibly have thought this was worth throwing money at? And they're obviously not going to learn the lesson that lying to oneself so as to reinforce a preferred idea or belief is a horrible fucking policy.

I don't really feel bad for the taxpayers because even without the park, it sounded like they were already going bankrupt anyway so this would only be hastening the inevitable, but possibly this bad publicity might engender sympathy and get some charity work aimed at sustaining the residents. But then, it's the buttfucking Bible Belt, so that's just going to continue hurting their reputation with people who live where 'smart' matters.

Ham should be forced to file bankruptcy and lose everything he has and live in the same abject poverty as his gullible flock, and never be capable of getting out of that because his incapability to become educated will prohibit him from doing more than flipping burgers. If he avoids jail time, that is. I'd love to see footage of him praying for forgiveness in prison for the sin of being sodomized over and over and enjoying it in spite of his beliefs.

I disagree.  Museums display actual exhibits.  Amusement parks provide thrills.  This is a creatard thrill palace.  It has no museum quality at all.

Unless you want to count the fact that the whole thing is a coprolite.

The kind that salivates at the prospect of state subsidies.  That's what this whole thing was based off of, not the fucking bible.  What's remarkable is that they managed to fail in spite of an initial 20% subsidy (combined with recurring subsidies taken directly out of employee paychecks, among others..I shit you not - that;s a thing here, now..employees have to cover some of the cost of supposedly major employers, that's why toyota is here, for now).  The problem was that during the states legal claim against Hams organization the power shifted from a democrat to a republican (one of three repubs to serve in that capacity in the last 70 years.........).

The republican could not be publicly seen going against the ark park in the political climate of that time..even though everyone -and I mean everyone- at that point, already knew it would lose money.

Well, but whatever private investors he had to bilk out of quite a bit of cash have to be calling for his head, right? Why aren't we hearing anything of that sort? It can't have possibly all come exclusively out of the state's funding and subsidies, right? Or out of Ham's own pocket, he's at least above the minimum level of IQ needed to avoid being labeled mentally handicapped to have the foresight not to put his own ill-gotten fortune at risk.

I meant that there's just displays and not really anything to interact with. Didn't say anything about quality or content. It sure as shit isn't a zoo. But yeah, what they do skirts the line of being the bare minimum required to call itself a museum. But then if they called it that, they'd certainly have even less appeal (what kid wants to go to a museum?) so deliberately and dishonestly calling it a 'park' is just one more charge to add to their tally of criminal activities. Can't wait to hear that someone got molested in one of the bathrooms, let's see Ham spin that in a positive way.

The investors -are- calling for his head.  The state tourism boards allows an organization to recoup up to 25% of it's costs from taxes to residents of affected counties and sales tax rebates from visitors.  The counties in question are outliers..not just in the state in their religiosity, but nationally recognized as such.   It's one of the densest packings of evangelicals anywhere in the US.  The tax code was flexible, the residents were sympathetic, and there were millions laying on the table for the taking.  That's why the park was built where it was.  Mind you, the remainder of the money that was needed but not raised to build the park was not actual money...but credit.  When the park defaults (as it will) AIG won't lose a single cent.   Sure, they collected actual cash donations and actual cash from investors..but they didn't -spend- that to build the park.  Why would they? Particularly, when they could grift the princely sum of 62million in TIF funds from Williamstown?

Yay, churches ftw!

Well, all I've heard on youtube are criticisms and that the park is failing, not that any of the investors are looking to sue for being defrauded or whatever.

So, wait, no one has any legal recourse whatsoever to hold AIG or Ham responsible or accountable financially? Literally not a single person involved in this in any way had the foresight to even ask what would happen if it failed or at least under-performed?

He'd be selling all he has and rendering unto Caesar, in one fell swoop. All those god brownie points, Ham! Come on!
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

-and hey while we're at it..why would some rinkydink toewn give Ham hundreds of acres of land for a dollar ( a literal dollar, as in 1$), and millions in funds set asided for blighted areas?  Because it got them a brand new interstate exit...worth even more than all of that...... - before- you count in their hopes for future development now that a semi or two might stop there.

No, no one has legal recourse, because most of the "investors" actually donated to the non profit wing of AIG(as did the state, yay!), while the park is separately accounted for by a for-profit LLC. It was all an elaborate and legal fraud - just like his last attraction that went up a few miles away..that used the exact same bullshit to get itself funded. IDK why you don;t hear about it except to say that it's Kentucky. When's the last time you got Kentucky news where you're at? It was big news for us the whole time. No one actually cared whether or not it performed..but in the time it took to build the silly fucking thing Danville and Mt Sterling announced business initiatives that all but torpedoed any hope that Williamstown would host the next Toyota subsidiary...and the whole thing is so fucking shady that no one involved wants to say a thing. It; be like telling the dea that someone stole two tons of fucking coke from you, lol..feelin me?>

So..as it stands, they;ve got semi-stalled construction on a big interstate exit to nowhere, nowhere being a parking garage for a town that doesn't even have enough cars to fill it. Meanwhile, it was forced to sell things that people do go to the area to see in order to come up with the matching requirement of TIF funds. I drove by that stupid piece of shit two weeks ago to take my kids camping. I said it in the other thread- the lord hates Ham..and apparently, the very jesusy burg of Williamstown, too. That or he works in mysterious ways. Take your pick.
