I think they're inflating their sales figures to try and convince people they aren't failing miserably while they frantically figure out a way not to have completely fucked up this already-doomed shit show. That they aren't fully disclosing actual attendance numbers is not a good sign on their part. How many of those tickets are from atheists going to see it ironically and make fun of it? Plus all the expenses of food, maintenance, employees, utilities, and all that, on a park that appears empty a great deal of the time, have to be eating up what they have earned pretty quickly. Good thing it's so poorly designed, there's probably very little maintenance needed, and they can just turn off the lights in the empty displays. Ham's already personally blaming atheists for 'problems' so they've tacitly admitted things could be 'better'. Just what is the extent of this trouble? Surely a man who ranted and raved enough to get people to donate so he could upgrade a plane ticket on short notice could spin a few niggling little woes the park is having in a way that would get people to show up more or just mail in cash. I mean, it's not like they're still in a position to 'show no weakness' so why not play on the sympathies of the deluded masses who actually think they're being persecuted?

Well the $700k number comes from .50 cents per ticket sale. So that puts them at 1.4 million tickets. Their projection was 2.2 million. That's 36% short of their projections.

And ironic atheists were probably not a significant portion of their ticket sales, but they still paid money.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

So they're still trying to recoup the massive losses they've accrued if they're desperate enough to have gambled 18M+ to save that 700K. Is there any better proof of Ham's denial of reality than this? I mean, how have we not heard even whispers of a class-action lawsuit somewhere in here?

Maybe he should consult the WLB for a little help at "The Art of the Deal?"

Could probably cut the "religious" part out.  Just a run of the mill scammer who found willing marks.

To be fair, he seems to be the best of the best. No cracks in his exterior, no inconsistencies in his batshittery. He may be the most legit lunatic running a scam out there. It's pretty obvious all the other ones know they're peddling bullshit to the gullible masses.

Too late !!

Ken Ham didn't use 'mobbed up' Salerno Brothers concrete to build his ark.

I'll be honest - there is one thing about the whole ark park that I actually like. In fact, I think it's a little stroke of genius.

Whoever came up with that deserves the money it must have cost.

If only that level of intelligent design had gone into the rest of the fiasco.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Maybe the area surrounding Ken's ark structure needs paved with blue asphalt, and manikins could be placed around it to represent the dead floating bodies of all the sinners Noah left behind ??
