I still think we need to meet up and hug this out. You need a hug and someone to love you.
Still haven't watched the video. I don't have any plans to unless we can watch it together with popcorn.

I am not interested in a love fest, and your condescending crap and childish attempt to poke fun of me is annoying. I have plenty of people who like and love me. I am not out to win a popularity contest.

This is about the state of our society and long term bad policy, nothing more. You don't like my bluntness, tough shit.

We've done no regulation for 36 years and the pay gap has exploded.
We've done don't tax the rich for 36 years and have had a bubble every fucking decade that blows up in our face.

Now again, go back and keep watching that video until you get it. I am not here to baby sit you or coddle your insecurities.

I cannot dumb this down any further for you.

If you don't like that state of our nation or the structure of our economy; go out and fix it. Do something. Protests and keyboard warriors solve few (if any) issues at all. What are you physicaly doing to make and/or promote a positive change for yourself and others?

If you want to spend your time complaining about a nation that's held together for over 240+ years based on feelings, assumptions, and how things "look" with no true data to substantiate a valid debate; poking fun is a valid response. Be sure to gather that data for Europe and Asia too though. Gaps aren't unique to American society by any stretch of the imagination.

As long as there is a free market, there will be a pay gap and as long as businesses grow and make more profits, the pay gap will get larger. If you want that pay gap to get smaller, go out and increase your own profitability and encourage others to do the same. Expecting those that have done well to carry all of those that haven't, breeds an entirely different issue all together.

I'm open to the hug whenever you'd like though.

In 36 years since Reagan started the age of deregulation and "don't tax the rich" the pay gap has exploded. In that same time the GOP has gained, through gerrymandering, a lopsided majority of the Governor's offices, majority of state governments. And when you average out the balance of power in the three branches of the federal government over that same time, the GOP has dominated all three most of that time.

Again, if it worked like the GOP has been falsely selling that entire time nobody would be bitching.

Well, no system or political party idea is 100% perfect or full proof. Gerrymandering is the norm for both parties and will continue until term limits are put in place for congress and senate seats. It’ll still probably happen at that point too.

To place all blame on the shoulders of the GOP is pretty narrow minded. Take a look at the wellbeing of the worst states in the country. California, New York, and Illinois (Washington and Origen aren’t too far behind). These are STRICT democrat states in their public offices. Some of the highest state taxes and some of the highest debt among states. Toughest gun laws and astronomical gun deaths from criminal activity. Highest levels of welfare recipients, some of the highest unemployment rates, etc., etc., etc.

The GOP isn’t perfect, but the Democratic Party doesn’t have any room at all to point fingers. Their feel good, hug society message doesn’t hold up either. It’s sounds good; it’s draining the blood from people, but it sounds good.  I guess sounding good is good enough because it keeps them in office. Maybe that’s what counts.

Is that what makes a state the "worst"? State tax rates? Debt? How about things that actually impact the people. Funding for public schools, access to healthcare, employment rate, affordability of higher education... stuff that makes a society a society. As a New Yorker I'm fine with paying more in taxes when we get more out of our state government for my wellbeing and my future.

Oh wait, you did mention employment rate. Did you even bother researching what the unemployment rate in states were? If you did, you'd know that the top 5 states with the highest unemployment are all red states (New Mexico, Alaska, Alabama, Louisiana, and Tennessee). In fact, 12 out of the 15 states with the highest unemployment are red. I wonder if the other things you said are false as well.
