Seems I can never get a straight answer from these Obama hating Republicans. I really just want to know what he has done that has made your life as miserable as some of these people claim to be. I understand he had plenty of weakness's. But he couldn't have been all that bad.

Well, in my experience, I don't think they even need much of a reason to hate Obama. All he had to do was to not A) generally be the same as Dubya or B) go along with the increasingly virulent racism in the Republican Party.

Running as a centrist and making a (perceived?) hard shift to the left on inauguration day didn't help, and showing no interest in schmoozing congress critters to make deals sealed his fate with the 'pubs. Curiously, Obama didn't view his time in the senate as anything more than something to check off on his resume instead of an opportunity to be sowing some seeds to reap during his presidency. Even today, he's 100% an ex-president and 0% an ex-senator from Illinois. He could have parlayed his senate experience much more in his presidency, had it occurred to him during his time in the senate it would be a profitable/prudent thing to do.

I'm thinking some intramural democrat issues stemmed from him beating Hillary too. Yeah, Obama avoided getting on the dreaded Clinton Enemies List, but his winning was definitely a "Plan B" scenario for Hillary, and adjusting to the new reality in 2008 couldn't have been easy, and making the best of it had to be grueling ordeal for her.

No matter how logical a Clinton/Obama rapprochement might have been, and no matter how committed the Clinton's said they were to making it work, it's just not in their nature . . .

Seriously though, I think it's mostly because of healthcare and Obama screwing up by shitting on their beliefs and talking about people clinging to religion and guns. The black thing is completely overstated. Of course there are still many, many anti-black racists around, but still, Obama was not protested much when you compare him to Dubya and Trumpster. The problem was not that Obama was protested too much, but rather not enough. The anti-war movement died down alot when Obama got in.

I seem to remember a lot of talk, after Mr Obama's first election, about a 'post-racial America'.  Clearly that didn't happen (which is a pity).  Perhaps Trump will fuck things up so badly, you'll get a 'post-orange dimwit America' (which would not be a pity).
