Did humanity ignore this as it was never mentioned?

RE: Did humanity ignore this as it was never mentioned?
I wipe my butt with my right hand. I am not left handed, so wiping with my left hand would be unnatural.

Besides, who doesn't wash their hands after wiping their butts anyway?

I would buy that if it's one thing that was made up and accidentally worked. 2 Things and I'll call the writer lucky.
But 600 pages of this? With big claims ringing a bell like earth needing an anchor to keep it in line (who said it was moving; anyways?), the skies being a ceiling (who said it needed protection anyways?).

This website should have a jar on the kitchen table, kinda like a cussing jar, you put in a dollar every time you cuss, but in this case, a "bad logic" jar, where you put in a dollar every time you use a bad argument.

I really don't know how many times I can repeat this.

1. Christians try to retrofit science to fit the bible too.
2. Hindus try to retrofit science to point to their religion too.
3. Jews try to retrofit science to point to their religion too.
4. Buddhists try to retrofit science to point to their religion too.

NO Atlass, it does not work when you try this or anyone tries this.

Your brain is working backwards in time to justify what you desire to be true. It does not work like that.

The ancient Greeks coined the word "atom", but that had a very ambiguous non scientific meaning back then. Back then all it meant was "the smallest thing one could imagine that could not be divided". That is not the same as our modern scientific definition in "Atom=proton/electron/neutron/quark".

You are simply trying to match modern science to ambiguous verses which DID NOT demonstrate one bit of modern understanding. Otherwise you should believe in the ancient Greek polytheistic gods because they invented the word "atom".

There are no modern formulas in the Koran just like their are no modern formulas in the bible or Jewish OT, or the Hindu Bhavad Gita/Vedas, nor in any ancient Buddhist writings.

You are committing the same fallacy of seeing patterns that are not there. NOBODY back then knew anything about modern science.

( 30 )   Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?
( 31 )   And We placed within the earth anchors, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountains] passes [as] roads that they might be guided.
( 32 )   And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away.
( 33 )   And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming.

My comments:

verse 30: Big Bang? and water is the key ingredient for life to prosper.
verse 31: gravity? the hugest anchor of all?
verse 32: ozone layer?

Pull the Koran out of your ass. You look utterly pathetic trying to attribute the noblest and most profound discoveries of the greatest human minds to the ramblings of those most insane and maglomanical hucksters in the lowest sumps of humanity - the prophets.

Atlass33, I know you've been dealt a tough gig by life, more kudos to you for being a survivor.
I really can understand why an afterlife is worth waiting for.

But I also know you're smart enough to know that mental gymnastics ain't going to poof the your sky genie into existence, is it?
Stop talking shit and join the critical thinkers ...you're almost there man. Only one last fairy tale to dispense with.

To be fair OF my species entire history, and while I agree that trying to retrofit science to old mythology, humans WORLDWIDE have always made contributions to discovery.

Now, having said that, where EVERYONE of EVERY religion goes wrong is falsely attaching what is natural in us, our species evolutionary curiosity as being a patent their label owns.

Humans evolved to be curious and make discoveries and build things. It is why our species went from being nomadic to farming then to building cities and inventing the human language. But science knows that that ability to figure things out is not unique to humans. Other primates use tools too, some species of apes use sticks to dig for termites. Octopi are very curious and smart and can figure out how to unscrew a jar to get to food. I saw a story in the news last week how makers of outdoor trash bins have to keep re inventing themselves because wild bears continually figure out how to get into them.

There have been human contributions to discovery on every continent in our species history, the mistake theists make is attaching that to religion, when the reality it is in our natural evolutionary behavior, not a holy book or holy person.

I guess it is dirt that women or Jews haven't touched.

I cannot help but be reminded of that elementary school joke we would use on the playground.

Hi, my name is _______, and I am an alien from the planet, _______.

*Extends right hand to be shaken by the person to whom I am introducing myself*

My favorite color is ______, my favorite food is ________, and I wipe my butt with my right hand.
