In the same way, God only gifted women with the ability to give physical life (carry a pregnancy, give birth, and nurse). It doesn't mean one sex is better than the other. Just that we believe them to have different roles in some cases.
Equality baby
Religion had nothing to do with why you get pregnant and men dont. That is evolution, not an old book of mythology.
Gender roles are exactly why religion OF ALL LABELS are so antiquated.
In a partnership, it should not matter who does what, just that both involved are happy and consent and have good communication skills.
This is what I find sad about your logic. You are working backwards in time to justify clinging to it. The problem is even if you want to go with "it is equal but just a gender role thing", there was no equality back then, not even in polytheism.
The further back in antiquity you go, the more females were treated as property. Even in polytheism, back then the first born male had first dibs on any family fortune handed to them. It is also why women as a majority always take the man's last name. That is stupid knowing that both sexes contribute to the next generation.
Of course men don't get pregnant, but mythology doesn't explain that, evolution does.
You look at other species of life, say like some insects, the female is far bigger and takes a far more dominate role. Honey Bees are a prime example.
If you value your own gender then you should really try to understand that that was then and this is now.
