...and I'm pretty sure I'm not even a staff favorite.  I'm married to one and there are like ten or more of them, ffs. Anyway, I've definitely wasted too much time here tonight. I vote to split it and burn it, but in all his favoritism, Tibs says he doesn't have a reason to split it. What a fucker. I'm going to go beat him until he starts doing what I want again.

I know I've probably said this a hundred times since becoming a mod, but we don't do things like editing posts as favors to our favorite members. I'm not taking sides in the argument because I didn't bother to pay attention to what it was about and I don't really care. But the edit was due to a rule violation, not any display of favoritism.
I quoted a post (in it's entirety) that was edited roughly three minutes later. Would you mind posting the rule that I violated?

You quoted an edited post, then also quoted the un-edited version of a post, which clearly shows that you were trying to impose a meaning that the author of the post obviously didn't intend. If you had just posted the un-edited version because you grabbed it before Shell edited it, then it would be just like all of the other times that happens on this forum, and no one would have batted an eye.
