If evidence for god is in abundance, why is faith necessary?

If evidence for god is in abundance, why is faith necessary?
By any logical standard if there was any evidence for the existence of god, that would make faith irrelevant.

That faith is needed in the religious community reasonably means that zero evidence is in existence to prove god is real.

all it takes according to Christ is a mustard seed's worth of faith.

(The smallest amount) and God will move mountains of doubt.

I found you need the faith to simply ask and then follow where God leads.

If evidence were to appear, god would disappear in a puff of logic.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

That was a non answer.

So was his, so was everyone's.  Notice that the mountains stubbornly remain unmoved, lol.

God clearly knows that these rubes have no faith, they've merely been conned by charlatans.

It's either ASK and we did it wrong or pre-sups nonsense that we all know God exists.

I love being called a liar, it's so endearing.

You've got that mixed up.  The correct version is if you have a mustard seed's worth of faith and don't doubt then you can command a mountain to jump into the sea and it will obey you.  Of course you will kill a lot of people and cause a lot of damage if you do that with a mountain so do it with a tree instead.  nd if you do you will have been the only person in the history of humanity who has ever had enough faith to do that.  So since you have never been able to have a tree obey your commands to jump into the nearest body of water it's obvious that you don't have any faith.

Jesus never did the tree or mountain trick himself so he didn't have any faith either.

To the OP: There are two definitions of faith. One is belief in the absence of evidence. The other is trusting a promise. Sometimes they are both in play. For example, suppose my friend has never before asked to borrow money from me. I have no evidence that he will repay the loan. However, I do trust him because of evidence of his good intentions in the past. And yes, there is sufficient evidence despite your delusional incredulity.

"Evidence" for god is nowhere to be found.  "Faith" is like bullshit in a pasture.  It's everywhere but its still bullshit.
