Look, I'm not here to be converted, I just wanted people to know where I am at life,

if you dont believe in god, that's fine, if you do, just as fine.

I just want people to let me be and i thought this community would be the best to talk to.

Sorry, but that's just asking too much. Now we have to worry about your mental state and what you're liable to do. Your delusions don't exist in a vacuum. Two things to consider, as well; isn't this failure of god to touch all of us a flaw in that god? Not exactly fair that you get this and we don't, so even if it existed, fuck your god. Also, why is this god so keen to make you look deranged for believing in it? Hardly fair to you. So in either case, god is a pretty huge dick. So why bother worshiping or believing in it if all it does is bring this crap to you and others? Because you can achieve the same states of happiness independent of god. It's like taking a drug to get a high instead of something natural like a runner's high; you assume all the risks that go with it and that means you can't expect us to respect or ignore that.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

---

There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.

I'm happy for you. Now, if I may, I'd like to say that I think you're a good guy and that you have a bright mind.  As a result, if anyone can cultivate an intelligent/open-minded approach to faith, then IMO, you would be a good candidate for such an endeavor; I would be interested in seeing what you come up with.  More importantly and first and foremost, it is my hope that you will develop a strong belief in yourself, because without that, IMO, life can feel pretty empty regardless of whatever worldviews/thought patterns that one might hold.  Thus, I hope you soar high in life and that you are able to be happy and unique in your own way.  Live long and prosper.

P.S.  It's nice to hear from you.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

it's hard to explain to an irreligous person, god is just, ugh it's so hard to describe and i feel people wont like me for it.

God is,
for me atleast, it's complicated.

Sure, god is just - no argument about that. You can tell that to the 3 years old kid that died in Barcelona a few days ago. Or to all the people who died there and not only there but also in all locations targeted by terrorists. God is so just and human loving entity that he allows innocent people to die all the time.

You must be pretty insecure in you "lack of belief". Consider a few of the following list of former atheists:

Francis S. Collins, M.D, Ph.D, head of the Human Genome Project
John C. Wright, Nebula award finalist
Dr. Edward Feser,  Associate Professor of Philosophy at Pasadena City College
Leah Libresco, writer for the Huffington Post and former atheist blogger

You may be a whole lot smarter then them but judging by your posts I doubt it.

Why would you think I'm insecure? Projection again?

I didn't say I didn't believe anyone has ever made the transition.  I said I don't believe YOU have.
