Media in America is screwed all over. Checks and balances have been bought off, and we live in an oligarchy. But we get our news wherever we can.

I get all of my news from internet forums.  

We've always had protests and riots.  The thing is we don't know for sure whether the current series is traditional or if it is being orchestrated by foreign or domestic enemies or a combination of various actors who are trying to destabilize the country for their own purposes.  In that case there's a whole phone book of suspects who will benefit from fracturing American society.

There's domestic billionaires such as Soros and the Koch brothers.  Throw in the various drug cartels, the Russians, Chinese, North Korea, Cuba, Turkey, Arab muslim countries, ISIS and A.Q., Israel, the EU, the CIA & FBI, the Repubs and the Dems.  Any combination of those actors could be working together to disrupt America for their own purposes.  Or maybe it's just people who come together at various times for a good street fight.  

Given that Trump is basically an idiot who acts in a predictable way it would be easy for anyone to manipulate him.  No one is forcing him to say the things that he does.  So it's easy for people to create situations where he will always act as an idiot.

This country has a lot of problems. There's a part of the police or military speech that talks about "enemies, foreign and domestic", and I think we've been ignoring our domestic enemies for far too long. I guess there are countries that would benefit if America tore itsself apart, but we really need to handle domestic problems before worrying about foreign powers.

Happy to. 

6 oz cake flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 oz of actual milk (no 2%, skim, almond, soy or any other faux 'milk')
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of maple sugar (do NOT sub in maple syrup, you'll regret it).  If you haven't got maple sugar handy, use white sugar and a few drops of maple extract.
A knob of melted butter about the size of a walnut.
A few drops of vanilla.

Sift the flour and salt into a bowl, whisk in the milk, then the eggs (one at a time), then the rest.  Put the bowl in the fridge for an hour or so.

When the batter is chilled, stir in 4 oz each of ground (not chopped) walnuts and bacon crumbles that are as dry and fine as you can manage.  Both of these need to be in really, REALLY small bits or your crepes will fall apart when you...

...cook the crepes one at a time is a small, hot, buttered skillet, about a minute on each side (if you don't own a crepe pan, shame on you).

You can eat these just about any way you like - we like them with melty butter and a little turbinado sugar.  They're a dessert type crepe, so they go well with fruits, cream, etc.  Let me know what you think.
