Kelly's Days Are Numbered

Is anybody else disturbed by all the military in Drumpfuck's cabinet? That a country that prides itself on it's democracy (albeit without actually doing muck to ensure it is democratic) a military heavy executive should be worrisome.

It is all looking a bit like a military junta isn't it.

It worries me in one sense, and I'm a veteran. I much prefer civilians being in charge, to the point that I wouldn't vote for Perot because he'd selected a vice-admiral as his running mate.

But I'll say this: those three generals have more foreign-policy experience, more diplomatic touch, and deeper insight into why America is a good place than Trump could dream of approaching. Be happy they're there. If he decides to kick off the Super Bowl, those will be the guys who tell him to fuck off. No one else in that cabinet has the spine to do so.

I can't either. He certainly has flaws, but pusillanimity is not one of them.

And -- I wonder what will happen to the markets when the stabilizing factor in the White House leaves? "It's the economy, stupid" takes on a whole new meaning when the barons of Wall Street vote with their dollars.

Wall Street barons, trump, and the GOP have the "enrich the rich, screw everyone else" objective in common, even if their opinion of just how crudely and blatantly racism should be supported might differ.   Now that bannon is out, the alignment is even clearer.

So with the departure of adults from the whitehouse, while the probability that normal administrative things benefiting the 99% would be properly done may reduce from a larger fraction of zero to a smaller fraction of zero, the probability that the 1% will be further enriched probably seems little effected and as high as ever.

So I expect the immediate impact on the stock market would be limited.

Where stock market might tank is when it begins to sink in at Wall Street that tax free looting by the 1% may not offset the impact on their wealth of an trump instigated nuclear scare, or even nuclear war, involving another nuclear power.
