I think the whole thing about that in the end times was mostly written to scare people. If they're not afraid enough of hell get them to fear that too.

Or maybe they really did see a future where people would stop believing the bullshit. Not through divine inspiration but through reason.
They probably knew of other religions on the decline.

It' wasn't written to scare people, it was written to warn people that time was growing to a close. Hell doesn't bother Christians, we want be there. Divine inspiration has nothing to do with people not believing, it has everything to do with people who think they know more than Christians about everything, people are reasoning themselves right into hell. This is also taught in then NT, you should read it some time, preferably before it's to late.

Actually, it's a sign that the people are getting smarter and no longer relying on superstition.

In a way, you are correct.  It's a sign of the end times for Christianity.

You might as well accept that Christianity is here to stay and that it's not a superstition. Those who chose judgement are not on my list of the intelligent.

It's the sign of the end of your bullshit beliefs, buddy.  I think we can agree on that.

No it's not silly boy and you need to go back to the sandbox and bury your head, you need time to get your thoughts straight.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

We've been over the verses you are thinking about for years and it' been explained, why can't you learn, I thought atheist were suppose to be smart, guess I'm wrong.

Your interpretations and ret-conning of what the text says does not override what the text says.

If there were but one from amongst that crowd still alive today, your end times claim might have some basis.

Ret-conning (some would call it heresy) has a long, proud tradition going back to Paul. I'm thinking it's a sacrament of some kind.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

No what's happened is you have made half baked excuses passages. And they have all been torn to shreds . I thought theists were not suppose to lie guess I was wrong.

Quote:These projections, which take into account demographic factors such as fertility, age composition and life expectancy, forecast that people with no religion will make up about 13% of the world’s population in 2060, down from roughly 16% as of 2015.

Yep. GC and friends are going the way of the dodo, the passenger pigeon and the dinosaurs. What we're seeing here are the last desperate flounderings of a drowning religion.

I'm only surprised that the figures are as low. Based on my own day to day experience, I thought they'd be much higher than that.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

GC, please, a question if you'll indulge.

Do you know how plurals work?

Oh, it will likely never be eradicated entirely.

But the numbers will drop to 10% or less.  And there are already growing atheist communities throughout the Middle East so, Islam will likely go that way, too.  But it will take a lot longer.

Judgemental people aren't intelligent? Take a look at virtually ALL religious people.

Whether Islam will eventually fall by the wayside in the Middle East depends on whether education and the sort of economic prosperity and sustained growth can provide jobs to most of the educated will first come to the Middle East.

Religion is about giving false hope to the hopeless. So long as the hopeless remain hopeless the clutch of religion wil not loosen.
