We should be fine, but pray for us anyway, you heathens!

Nolite te bastardes carborundorum.
I think we'll be good here in VA this time around. A little rain and a few gusts perhaps, but not much more.
'Twas the case last update I heard, anyway. Stay safe everyone.
My cousin and her family in Winter Garden, FL, west of Orlando, FBed pics of them sandbagging and doing other things I don't even understand to be prepared for this.
Weather is interesting to me, but this is depressing. Sad to see St. Maarten, St.-Martin and St. Thomas suffer so badly. I've been to the former and the latter.

They're evacuating people in mobile homes and RVs here but not people in houses so far. I paid $16 for a case of water today. Things are getting ridiculous.

I've never been in a major natural disaster and I hope I never experience one. I have no idea how people can maintain sanity through such an event. Hope you can stay strong. I'm downwind of the Yellowstone super volcano that's been rumbling recently. If I'm lucky I will be able to get out of the ash downpour in time. I keep my car gassed up. RE: Hurricane Irma

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
I'm watching the bumper to bumper traffic northbound on the 528. It seems to me that there would some sort of emergency planning for something this epic that the southbound side would only be open for emergency vehicles and trucks bringing supplies, and then only using the right lane. The throughput would be greatly increased, even if they only went 15 MPH.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
