A plant, an animal or a person that degrade him-her self are barely aware that they exist as living being.
That relate to the awareness which has nothing to do with changes in the divine seed or consciousness.
You can lose the awareness that you got a wallet full of money in your pocket.
That doesn't mean that your money are gone or that they have change in value.
You still have them in your pocket as when they enter your pocket.
Consciousness speaking happen the same thing.

They got the real McCoy within but they are so stupid that they wouldn't care less.
In other words our body change genetically speaking as you say but doesn't consciousness speaking.
It only change the awareness of it not the consciousness itself that is why our divine seed will take us to the divine and supreme consciousness to become one with it once of course we become aware of our divinity within.

In this way you would cast aside the evolution of the mind-consciousness and at the same time get rid of the whole universe.
