They're making a Hocus Pocus 2.
I sincerely doubt it will be anywhere near as great as the first movie. Therefore, probably not watching the 2nd.

Movies I'm not going to watch: new Terminator movies. Terminators have been failing so miserably in all these movies that even my grandmother can beat them, which is what the next one will actually be about considering they're bringing back Linda Hamilton.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
The remade Rocky Horror.
The remade Ghost Busters. Stop remaking good movies from the 70s through 90s that are already awesome classics and go get your own material! Also, Lincoln. I have nothing against it, I just know I'll never talk my husband into sitting through it, and it doesn't seem like a watch it by yourself sort of movie. Also any movie about the Warrens, those con artists won't get a dime from me.
“Eternity is a terrible thought. I mean, where's it going to end?”
― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead
Any movie where they say "will uplift your spirit!" or "will put the hope back in your life!"
Let's see....
Any movies on the Lifetime Movie Network. Any movies on the Hallmark channel. Any movies with excessive amounts of gore. Any scary movies. That about covers it Disclaimer: I am only responsible for what I say, not what you choose to understand.

Any cheesy porno from the 70s, 80s or 90s.
I only watch the more modern internet porn with lots of goo. And as the acting is still terrible I tend to mute if and listen to music while I.... do something else. As for non-adult movies... I don't watch many. I tend to only watch a movie if it's critically acclaimed. I don't really give a fuck how popular it is to the public as the public often have extremely moronic opinions. Or I watch when I'm at my brother's and he sticks a movie on. Or a friend recommends a movie and buys it for me.
Danny Boyle consistently makes movies that I would rather have lemon squeezed in my eyes than watch. 128 hours a film about a man that cuts off his own arm, I mean come on I want to entertained not bored then grossed out.
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis. That's one of those "sucks more to be you than it sucks to be me" movies. |
