I usually drink about two bottles of water per cup of coffee. The most I do is two cups of coffee, so that's four bottles of water.

If you don't drink coffee, ignore all the questions below.

1. Do you make your coffee at home (skip to #5) or does a barista make it for you (go on to #2)?

I only occasionally make coffee at home, although I regularly make it at work.  I like to go out and sit in a coffee shop, and catch up on writing projects.

2. What do you usually order from the barista?  Describe in detail what's in the drink, whether it's a hot or cold coffee, size of the drink, milk & sugar, etc.
3. Do you drink it there and then order another from the barista or do you drink it on the go?
4. Add any other pertinent details about your coffee drinking habits involving baristas who make it for you.

At most coffee shops I order dark roast and take it black.  There are a couple of places where I get a regular roast or flavoured coffee, cream but no sugar.  Most of the time I drink it in the store, but if I'm on my way somewhere and under a time constraint I take a few sips and then drink the rest of it in the car.

5. What brand of coffee do you normally buy?  French or Italian roast, fine grind.  Usually what's on sale.
6. How many cups (how big are these cups) of coffee do you normally consume on an average day? Sometimes coffee at home with breakfast on the weekends.  Very occasionally I'll make a cup in the evening to go with cake or other pastry.
7. What do you add to your coffee?  Sometimes I add 10% or 18% cream, if there's any near at hand.
8. Do you drink water during or after your coffee?  Not at home.
9. Will you not drink coffee past a particular time?  I try for decaf only after 7 pm, but that isn't a hard and fast rule.

10. Do you know the brand of the coffee in the work breakroom?  All the coffee drinkers have their own gear (mine is an AeroPress) and we bring our own coffee.  
11. How many cups (how big are the cups) of coffee do you normally consume on an average work day? Just whatever was in my thermal mug (about 16 ounces)
12. What do you add to your coffee?  At work, nothing.  Too much bother to bring cream to work.
13. Do you drink water during or after your coffee?  During the day I randomly sip water or the coffee.
14. Will you not drink coffee past a particular time during your work day? Usually I finish the morning cup by 2 pm, cold, and don't make another.  When it's gone, it's gone.

15. Add anything else you feel is worth mentioning in relation to the consumption of coffee. (for example, how long have you been drinking coffee, do you make coffee at home and drink it on the go, how much do you pay for a cup of coffee from the barista, does drinking coffee get your bowels moving, etc?)

Started drinking coffee in college.  Don't usually make coffee to take with me; if I home-brew coffee I drink it at home.

Typically I would  expect to pay between $2.00-$2.50 CDN for a quality coffee, $1.50 or less for a *meh* fast food outlet coffee.

I sometimes make a cold-brew coffee extract suitable for making cold coffee drinks at home.  Very rarely I have a hot cappuccino in a coffee shop.

I have a wild guess and I'm probably half right at worst.

There are no baristas where I live. Nearest Starbucks is 60 miles away. If I venture into one I order a Venti -the darkest roast. Black. I am not very sociable so I usually take it to go.

I drip brew at home. 2-3 cups in the morning. Black. Yes. It makes me poop. My motto is "Coffee! Who needs fiber!" It also makes me pee.

I brew my coffee strong. More grind and less water than normal people use. I have devised a method to get the most out of the bean. When the drip brew is about 1/3 done I turn it off. Let the bean sit wet for 10-15 minutes then restart the brewer. Try it.

I drink 1 or 2 cups in the morning at work. Maybe 1 in the early afternoon.  I don't drink coffee in the evening.

I prefer dark roasts - French or Italian. I love espresso and at one time owned an espresso maker. Might get one again. I think I am going to buy a french press next. In the winter we lose power every few years. Need a handy way to make a brew without electricity.

I have been drinking coffee since I was six years old. My parents let me drink it if I added milk and sugar and put it on ice. Somehow hot coffee was bad for kids.

I am addicted to coffee. I drink it every day. The news lately has been reporting that coffee has great health benefits. The benefits are not achieved unless you drink 5-6 cups a day. I don't care if they find this to be fake news. It is now part of my religion. I am taking it to my grave.
