I don't doubt there are people who are racist, but I just think everything about the letter was way too over the top to be believable.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I don’t know if it’s really a parent’s doing, but I don’t dismiss the possibility. That’s what our country is harvesting right now.
I just said it was a prank that could have been done by anybody, it could be a racist prank. Well I should probably say it almost certainly is a racist prank. I think it's obvious that the intention of the letter isn't to make people seriously take the content into consideration so it isn't necessarily from a parent.

It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Well I said it looks like the font Willy Wonka would use. I think a genuine letter from a woman who happened to be a white, housewife, parent would just have standard font.
I'd be willing to bet that anyone thinking this is a funny joke is still most likely a piece of shit.

I still think it's someone from the girls personal life who really doesn't like her and thought it'd be funny to do something cruel like this.

Going by the grammar, there's a good chance it could have been a black activist, or maybe it's just a white person with extremely poor grammar. Maybe it's a white person trying to make it look like a black person is faking a hate crime, so that's why the grammar is so poor? Who knows?

The letter being so over the top makes me think it was not actually written seriously by a racist day care mom. I don't see why else someone would do something so cruel to that girl unless they really didn't like her. Seems like the more likely scenario.
