Life is meaningless for Christians?

RE: Life is meaningless for Christians?
What is a meaningful life?
Out of all the plants and animals on this planet, humans would be at the low end of the scale for having a life full of meaning.
Yet no animal competes amongst themselves more for the title.

If I were religious, I'd find meaning in giving money and time to help other children of God as it's God's will, and I love him, and I love other people, and all that horseshit.  Life would be a gift that I wouldn't want to waste.  And I'd try to improve the world for the future doing good deeds, and being kind, and blahbity blah blah.

As an Atheist, I don't give a shit about much of anything.  I'm going to enjoy my time here as best I can.  No grand purpose.  Just have a nice time.  Then die.

I'd have to do some crazy mental gymnastics to believe I find more meaning in my life than a Christian should find in theirs based on their belief system.  On top of the fact, I don't want to try and reach for that conclusion.  A meaningless life is pretty nice.

The link is completely safe.  I would simply just post a screenshot, but as I am now at work, I don't want to get into trouble with my employer!

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I believe that meaning is entirely subjective and exists only in the moment that it is experienced. I see no intrinsic meaning in anything, let alone in eternal life when it is impossible to get to "the point of it all."

It isn't something most people think as atheists, because atheists are just as talented as theists at making up irrational bullshit to make themselves feel better and then believing it whole heartedly.

But it's the conclusion that should be reached as an atheist.  Well, should isn't really the right word, because it doesn't matter if you reach it or not.  But it's the rational conclusion, in my opinion.

I used to be like those people on the link; in fact, that's how I got the email in the first place.  It's very sad to "live" for the day when one must die with the hope of attaining some state that does not exist.  I feel like I lost a significant chunk of my life and youth to religious gobbledygook.  And, I have known people who have spent their entire lives devoted to some religious belief.  Such a waste.

Your opinion doesn't qualify as a rational argument.  Feel free to tell us that your life is meaningless, you'd be the authority on that.  If you wish to declare your meaninglessness a rational conclusion that follows from atheism..however, you're going to need to find a way to make that follow.

Good luck.

Meaningless probably isn't the right term, but all the Christians who have subscribed to Apostle Paul's heresy are in for a hellacious surprise that will render their lives pointless, as it were, since they've actually rejected Christ their whole lives while being deluded into thinking precisely the opposite.

It's better than subjective.  It's physiological.  It's just some internal wiring.   It's so rudimentary that it's pretty hilarious we take it so seriously.  We're like simple video game characters.  "You gave me a potato.  You now have meaning +1 to me."
