Just like big corporations abuse easement laws intended for public projects like fire stations, public schools, and highways, leave it to the ASSHOLE GOP to reverse protections from having your property stolen by law enforcement.

Something vaguely similar is one of the reasons I left NI. I was once locked up for a little more than 7 months - no formal charges, no legal representation, not permitted any outside contact (including family). When it was finally determined that there was nothing to charge me with and I was let out, I was presented with a bill for £3200. For room and board. Boru
