In many states with primaries the voting is only open to party members.  The DNC or RNC do not control this, the states do.  

Finally, they note:

Voters under age 30 were the fuel behind Mr. Sanders’s campaign. He won more than 70% of them—a bigger share than Barack Obama claimed in 2008. Moreover, voters age 18-29 were more important this year than in 2008; their share of the electorate grew by three points.

Still, seniors remained the larger group, and Mrs. Clinton won more than 70% of them.

Mrs. Clinton topped Mr. Sanders among all income and education levels, but she was particularly strong among those with the highest incomes and college attainment.

I get all my news from AF but I'd rather get less of it from A Theist.

You shouldn't. Get it from a proper news source, multiple if you can! I prefer news.google.com because it merges multiple sources for similar stories.

I mean that's just it though... I don't go looking for the News. I just enjoy AF and I happen across it by accident. I would wish to know more about the events of the world if I felt like I could have any impact on them. All it seems to really do is make me depressed about things I can't change. I do a little bit of research before voting in an election but it's always pretty much choosing between 3 policies that I don't agree with but definitely avoiding to vote for the one I disagree with the strongest.

The most interesting News I've read for a while is the progress in AI research. The way machine learning has allowed programs like OpenAI to defeat a world class Dota 2 player... and the way an AI can defeat the best poker players in the world at No Limit Texas Hold 'Em Heads Up Poker. That stuff is interesting. And non-depressing.

The pop vote doesn't get it. It takes the electoral votes for the win. If it weren't for either New York or California Hillary wouldn't have had even the popular vote.

She didn't have the efficient distribution of voters because Trump went into the coal and rust belt states and won those voters who once voted for Democrats. You also don't win elections by alienating your largest voting base.

You need to get off that race and identity politics shit. Bernie being a Jew has absolutely nothing to do with why any conservative wouldn't vote for him. He's a socialist. Conservatives don't generally vote for leftist politicians.

The strangest thing is that these conservatives run here and open topics about how DNC has it's own fuck ups as if we are infatuated with DNC and Hilary like they are with Trump. To most of us DNC was simply lesser evil. I mean with all it's problems it doesn't come close to what Trump & co. are doing. Obama made many mistakes, but how is Trump & co. making it better with literally trying to lower taxes from the rich and raise taxes from the middle class, that they strengthen the wars, that they are fucking up that little health care while condoning more pollution that is and so on. Hillary was perfectly willing to disenfranchise all the democratic primary voters, so please allow me a polite chuckle when mention of Hillary and the word 'voters' is brought up.

Maybe at some point a high school civics/government instructor might sit Hillary down and explain democracy, and voting, and some other topics to her she might find interesting.
