I got to study, midterm tomorrow.

Psychosis is a symptom, not a disease and it does not cause "loss of brain mass".

When your brain is shooting super fast, my doctor told me it get's to stage that it is toxic and burns away parts of your brain.  That is when our dopamine receptors are in overdrive, and we thinking way too fast, the brain physically cannot handle it, and a chemical reaction happens that does away with mass in the brain.

If your doctor said that then he or she should be taken out the back and quietly shot. It's baloney.

There are diseases which can and do reduce brain mass. If you had such a disease (and so far you have not claimed on) then I could buy it, but even then you could grow back none of your brain because that is not how it works.

So I shared I see a doctor and have bipolar, schizophrenia, and other mental illnesses, in the past even before as non-Muslim, and you know I been seeing a doctor, but want to belittle me because of my illness.

Since you work with the material paradigm that our brain defines who we are, you can't understand how I have fractured mind, but still reason better than you.

I got A+ in a logic philosophy course, I get A+ in computer science courses I take, I don't give a damn that my mind is fractured, I will manipulate it and heal it through will and strength, and that will and strength is no doubt from God and his help is ever with me.

Now, why don't you go concentrate on some material pleasure or go conjecture like you always do or go try to insult another Theist? Run along now.

MK, to be frank, I don't think you really needed to share this.  Based on some of the things you've presented here, it would have been understood or assumed anyway.  Seeing patterns where there aren't really any to be seen is one of the hallmarks.  That's why many schizophrenics are viewed as geniuses-- they can make connections others were unable to make, and turn out to be right.  However, in some of your logical chains, there are some very weak links, so that seems unlikely to be the case here.

I think your points #1 and #2 do NOT show tight logic at all, and if I was your teacher, I certainly wouldn't give you an A+ for stating them. It's very much under dispute whether there's such a thing as free will, or what the words even mean. You don't get to say, "If free will A. And free will, so A." Surely, no philosophy teacher would allow this chain to take flight. Don't believe me? Present THIS argument to them, and see what they say.

Facts are annoying? I guess they would be to someone who ignores them. Sorry, but General Relativity is not going to go away - regardless of how much you ignore it.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Stop begging for compassion to win a foothold.
Have some respect, if not for yourself; for readers at least.

If you're so mentally ill, you won't be here preaching. You'll be there getting treated.
I believe it's a very big fart you're pulling to get some attention around here. You're not sick. The one doctor became 3 doctors. And ironically they diagnosed you with an array of sicknesses enough to infect a whole city.

Ask me; I have M.S, I'm here preaching and not bitching to win arguments like a troll, and my M.S is so early anyways, I'm still young. You're young; too. Leave the whining to old people; kid.

Quote:As for me, I know the demons that I saw, I saw them take over my soul, and I know what I experienced before that from the good vision of the noble exalted souls. I didn't start with mood disorders and it was untreated, I know what I have, and the doctor told me at the end labelling it is not important but just treating it.

You don't convince me with your fake "craziness".
I told you once: strip under the shower, and rotate saying:" yahoo yahoo yahoo" with every rotation.
The shower must be cold. Only rotate after applying soap.
I might believe you then.

It would be so fun to actually do that.

Boru

Not really the conclusion follows from the premise.  If people get traits of what the being is wrong, that is their problem.

Incompatabilist "free will" is impossible with or without a god. Compatabilist free will is trivially true and as empty a concept as "god is the universe". And "god is the universe", is trivially true as well by the way, if you define "god" as "the universe" (oh and "2+2=5" is true if you define "2" as "2.5" and "5" as what it normally means Tongue ). But that's what I mean by it being a truly empty concept, in both cases. When compatabilists like Daniel Dennett exclaim "You're a compatabilist in everything but name!" he's basically admitting that all compatabilism is is an empty label. A pantheist could just as easily exclaim to the atheist "You're a pantheist in everything but name!" when the atheist chooses to not refer to the universe as "god".

Take your pick but I'd rather say "there is no free will and there is no god" than say "there is free will and it's what we normally refer to as will and there is a god and it's what we normally refer to as the universe." This is my favorite analogy when it comes to the free will debate.

Psychosis is a symptom, not a disease and it does not cause "loss of brain mass".

Actually there are structural and functional anatomic changes that are not completely understood. Different theories have been postulated including changes due to constant exposure to "excess" dopamine. I was just curious as to what MK thought/was told the "loss of mass" was caused from.

MK, I noticed a change in your posts beginning about a year ago. Was there a change in medication around that time?

Psychosis is usually a symptom but there are also psychotic disorders/conditions.

Well. My own father died of Parkinsons and that did involve at least some loss of brain mass, but I do not think that is where this discussion is at.
