Somehow the allegations always seem to disappear after the elections, hearings, etc. Innocent until proven guilty, unless and until there's a conviction, I don't think it should taint someone.

When a person gets arrested and indicted and is in a court room the prosecution is pretty damn certain that he's guilty.  He's not treated as an innocent person although a jury might find him not guilty.

I think that the current trend of denounces is an overall positive development, but not safe from its share of unfair claims.
