What was the worst year of your life? For me that would have to be this year, 2017.
A lot of crap happened this year that I don't feel like talking about right now. You don't have to explain if you don't want to. You can just say the year.

I had two worsts. Each were the last year of my substance addictions.

Probably some year in secondary school. Hormones,bullying, violence, intense boredom, no sex, no drugs. The only good thing I remember from school was I had so many friends then. Whenever I used go complain about having lots of people calling my phone my parents would always say I should appreciate that i have so many people wanting to talk to me. I do miss that.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason.

I think it is a horrible idea to view entire years as all bad or all good. I had a very bad time after my mom's diagnosis, having to watch her make the decision not to do anything more, then watch her slowly decline, then dealing with the moments of fear and depression not having her around.
But all you can do is take it day by day. I will always feel that loss but I cant fear bad happening. Everyone will have downs in life to greater or lesser degrees, coping and getting through those down times is what matters. Lumping entire years is not mentally healthy in my opinion.

Fuck this year, seriously. Nothing good has come out of it.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

Probably 2016 with 2017 as a very close second.
