Two I got recently:
"Would you like a five foot alligator?"
"We have a bear under our hot tub."
I used to type in random numbers into my phone and send weird text messages just like that.
So if you ever got any of those types of texts, it was probably me.  Thing is, I know both parties. The bear guys live in Wyoming. They keep their hot tub hot all year round. Bear must have figured this out.
The alligator is a bit more complicated.

The issue is that it's a moving target - the debt keeps going from collector to collector. When it starts up again it's never the same outfit.

I just remembered getting a strange text some years ago from an unrecognised number, saying "whip me strip me make me cum fuck me suck me all night long". After a bit of feigned innocence and skilful torture, it turned out that Sam and Shell were playing a prank on me, with Shell's new 'phone.
I got my own back. 
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
