I would have, but they already found a home for the other female..and I didn't want the risk of inbred dogs or two aggressive brothers. We had that convo as soon as she spilled the beans last night (it was supposed to be a surprise). We got the one on top..naturally. Wife's bringing her home today. I'm guessing she started looking the day I buried the last one.

IKR? Besides...cats scratch around in their shit and then want to knead into your flesh with those peedles. That's how a cat..shows love. Poop needles.
(we have lots of cats too..better half's a catlady...more than one is lots...right? )

I'm currently between dogs after losing both of mine (separately) several years ago. Maybe it's time.

My daughter loves dogs. Kids too. She'd have about 30 kids, and 30 dogs if she could (and if her wife would let her...). She actually has 3 adopted kids, and 3 dogs right now. (Plus 2 cats...)

I love fur-people better than human-people.
I had dogs as a child, they were great. I'm currently a cat person though.
Congrats on the new addition!

You're doing it wrong and it's well past time. The trick is to get one to console you just as soon as you lose the last. Or you can do what I do and keep two on hand at all times, each a half life time apart.

Do I love dogs? I'm nutty about them. Cats too.
We have two dogs: Abigail, a pit/Australian Shepherd mix, and Honey, a pit/something else mix. They're like our kids. I definitely like them better than I do most of the people in my life.

I'm more of a cat person, but dogs are sweet too. My come-and-go lifestyle wouldn't be fair for such an active and social animal, though (and was only barely tolerated by my now-deceased Dark Legion of Cats), so that's one reason I've never gotten a puppy of my own.
Congrats on the new family addition!
