Have you heard the good news?

RE: Have you heard the good news?
I did some required grocery shopping that I wasn't sure I was up for. Tomorrow should be smooth sailing.

So, I got the job I wanted and I'm really happy about it!
I'm so happy! WOO!
Finally, a job where I can focus on my studies.
I'll be working at the student bookstore at my school, and they are super accommodating because it's designed for students. So I'll only have to work like 10 hours a week and I get to focus on being a college student for once!
I'm just really happy and relieved. It's hard going to school while working 32 hours per week, and my grades suffer for it. It makes me so mad because I really want to dedicate myself to my studies and grades, and before I couldn't and there was nothing I could do about it. It made me mad that the reason I couldn't get perfect grades was out of my control.

So what good news does everyone else have?

Congratulations on the job!

Condolences for having to deal with bloody students!

Hopefully you don't have to deal with MEDICAL students!
Still better than working at the gas station where I deal with everyone.
BTW in this state you aren't allowed to pump your own gas so I have to do it  Undecided
But lol thanks Big Grin

WTF?

When I'm filling up and people ask me if they want me to do it, I'm like, "Get the fuck away from my car!"

Especially at home with my GOOD car or bike.

Don't go to Oregon or New Jersey then. Because self-serve gas stations are illegal!

You too?  Hallelujah!

@ MM.  I secretly wish I owned a bookstore.

@ Good news.  It appears that I actually -do- have some sort of ridiculous pitless peach variety.

Get out of here, a pitless peach?  Huh.  What's at the center and how does that seem to affect size and flavor?

Hurrah for fortune-making peaches and for good knees and good jobs too.

I'm pretty big on good knees too.  My hyper extended right knee is doing some good work for me now too.  After over a year of hobbling, knee braces, pain and general difficulty getting around I'm pretty good now.  I'm not even wearing a sleeve on it any more and flexibility keeps getting better.  Not going to start running but I intend to keep that exer-cycle spinning.

But I haven't invented any new fruit and I'm trying my best to avoid any more jobs.

Undetermined.  My unscientific appraisal is that whatever sterilized my peaches made them starchy...but, next spring I'll get them rendered for sucrose in a lab...assuming it wasn't just a fluke. It might be the grafted stock.

If not..though, fuck yall I'm rich! You'll never see me again.

So you never let them stick it in?  I'm always taken aback the first time I get out and start to fill my tank on a trip to Oregon.  I think the policy makes some sense.  People need jobs.  Socialism for the win.

Can't wait to sink my teeth into a genuine Khemical Peach.  (Might have to work on the name though.)
