Rocket launch to prove earth is flat

RE: Rocket launch to prove earth is flat
Hard to believe this is real. All the fool needs to spend is a few hundred dollars for a commercial airline ticket anywhere and get to at least 35,000'. For the money he is talking about, he could charter a joyride on a business jet like the Cessna Citation X which can reach over 50,000'. From that altitude, the curvature is slight but obvious.

Shit like this honestly worries me. The recent election of Trump convinces me more than ever that stupidity is no joke. It isn't harmless, it isn't funny. It's dangerous. Idiots can vote and thank's to the internet, they influence other idiots who can do the same.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

LOL, are those hot water heaters strapped to the rocket for his steam propulsion?

A man of science indeed!

I see no mention of how this remarkable craft will lose decent velocity in order to achieve touchdown back on earth.
I strongly suspect it will involve litho breaking.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

He's in California. Maybe he's chosen Death Valley.

The 'trick' would be to bail out prior to impact and let the rocket body hit first, and then traverse the debris plume for an enhanced braking effect compared to ordinary air, and then lightly touching down on the ground.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Sounds like something the coyote would pull off in his endless pursuit of the road runner.

“It’s scary as hell, but none of us are getting out of this world alive. I like to do extraordinary things that no one else can do, and no one in the history of mankind has designed, built and launched himself in his own rocket.”

Not even that is true.  It is said this has been done as early as the 16th century.

Yeah, that's what they want you to believe.
