The most inspirational movies that left an indelible impression on you!

RE: The most inspirational movies that left an indelible impression on you!
I know that ABBA is not a "her" and it's a band of multiple people. I have no idea why I said "her" lol. Total brainfart. I've seen ABBA music videos and know they're a band of multiple Swedish people, I have no idea why I said "her" LOL. I've never believed ABBA was anything but several people, including when I was a kid. I could have just as easily described Orbital as a him Tongue Total brainfart.

Maybe my subconscious wanted to frustrate you LOL

Here's a cool song:

....this is the Polish band you talked about....huh?
btw very nice song, i like it very much!
"Alone is what I have. Alone protects me."
“I may be on the side of the angels but don’t think for one second that I am one of them.”
“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day."

Bjorn Ulvaeus
Benny Anderson
Anni Frid Lyngstad

OH and a side note. While Bjorn shy's away from the word "atheist" he has repeatedly said he does not believe in any kind of god.

He's got time to be Bjorn again if required Wink

Oh no not one of those annoying atheists that don't like the word "atheist" Tongue

I once had a friend like that and when someone asked him what he believed, and he said that technically he was an atheist, I asked what he was non-technically and he said he didn't understand the question Tongue

In 2009 this album by Riverrside actually got to number 1 in the Polish albums chart:

'To Kill A Mockingbird'.  For me, that was the best cinematic depiction of quite courage and rock-bound decency ever.  I like being me, but if I couldn't be me, I'd want to be Atticus Finch.

"Enter the Dragon"
"The Seven Samurai"

These inspired me to practice martial arts. Kodokan Judo and Hapkido.

"Eraserhead"
"200 Motels"

Now I knew weird was a good approach to life.

"First Blood"
"Cool Hand Luke"
"Paris Texas"

That movie bored the shit out of me. I never liked it.
...

Wow! Looks like we finally agree on something. Woeful, shallow movie.

Put me off Hanks movies permanently. Which was a shame because Philadelphia was impressive.

Made a couple of attempts since to sit through a Hanks movie e.g. Road to Perdition but couldn't stay the distance.

An exception was Cloud Atlas as it is one of my all-time favourite novels... regretted it.

Hanks is at the top of my list of "Do NOT watch"; up there with Stallone, Downey Jr. and de Niro (because I prefer not to have to use subtitles).

If someone could explain the appeal of Forrest Gump I'd be grateful (and likely incredulous).

It's a Wonderful Life 100% George Bailey is my favorite fake human.

American History X. It didn't change how I thought about anything really, but it was unforgettable.

What We Do In the Shadows. I've never watched a movie so many times. It's almost perfect comedy. Maybe not what you're looking for, but I absolutely love it.
