I agree it's not cool, but I'm too libertarian to say it should be illegal. If someone wants to do it, they should be allowed, imho.
Certainly explains quite a bit about some of your views (particularly on that old vaccines thread last month or so.)

Yes sir!
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Good point. A settlement would be the best way for that to resolve. I can’t see a good outcome (for anyone, really) coming out of a proper trial in such a case. The school board will likely not have enough money to get a decent defense team and the plaintiffs wouldn’t likely get much.

That's feeding the inner killer ape in us. Just me ...carry on.

(if I'm hard to read, I'll sign off with "barracuda" when I'm serious...)

Yes. For some its a way out. A person who enjoys fighting, has a place for it. Its far better than fighting on the streets with people who want no part of it. Imagine what would've become of a Mike Tyson or George Foreman if boxing never existed. In some gyms they train kids and teens for free. A lot of these kids are inner city kids looking for a way out. Boxing and martial arts installs discipline and confidence which can be carried in other areas of life. It keeps them away from gang activities and drugs.

You know, inflicting torture is more fun than watching it.

Hands on is way better.

So I'm told...

Just listened to this audio book over the past week while doing chores. It was very interesting:
