There are also no good country and western or reggae songs.

Folk music also sucks.

What about 'The Thrill Is Gone From The Babies Who Grew Up To Be Cowboys On The Irish Rover And Shot The Sheriff'?  That one rocks the most.

You suffer from hypo aesthetic dysfunction.  You have reason to sing the blues but don't know it.

Um no, you not liking it only means you don't like it. Nobody is under any obligation to like only what you like.

He knows that.  He's just fiddling with your buttons to see what you'll do.  Um .. everything sucks, there isn't any good anything.

I have the collected works of a great many old delta bluesmen in my music collection.

Son House is one of my favourites:

But at this point, I think the big dark horse candidate is Washington Philips; singing Gospel songs on a heavily-modified Frankenzither he apparently called the Manzarene, and while it might not quite fit with a lot of ideas of what the blues should be, most blues fans tend to do so anyway:

If you want a soundtrack to help you sound the depths of your own heartsick blues .. put this one on.

For something you can tap your toe to while feeling a little something something I like the version of Needed Time that Eric Bibb did with Dave Kelley.

Does this count?

Conveying pure awesomeness without words.

P.S. One of my favorite things about instrumental music is that I can put it on in the background while watching videos and it's much less distracting than music with words Big Grin

Me to, that other one with Dave Kelly on the slide guitar is more upbeat but pretty damned amazing too.

I like lots of the professor. "Whole lot of love" is upbeat and fun.

But my favorite by him is probably Crawfish Fiesta.

I know next to nothing about blues. I have nice memories seeing Charlie Love in some Chicago club on a freezing day in January, and I was at B.B.Kings for a death metal concert, and that's about it.
