Sleep deprived

RE: Sleep deprived
For a second there I thought the thread title read "Sheep deprived". Which would be a whole other bucket of problems Tongue

For me if I have trouble sleeping it's because I'm worrying (or, very rarely these days, pissed off my gills and puking). I find a nice hot soothing mug of coffee helps me back down.

I love sleep, too. Maybe tonight, we will get some! Heart

Always nice to get some.

My husband talks in his sleep and if I use the right volume I can talk to him and he will respond. It's usually rather funny to hear his responses and one time I touched him to tell him he was having a nightmare and he jumped up saying spiders were on him. The most recent episode he started comforting our daughter telling her it's ok, hush little bear, and acting like she was crying despite her being quiet while sucking on my boob. Lol

Did he promise to buy her a mocking bird?

Until you guys do meth, you'll have no idea how deep the rabbit hole of sleep deprivation goes.

A cocktail of mania and cocaine is pretty good for some psychosis-inducing sleep-deprivation. Another rabbit hole you don't want to go down.

When we were kids my brother would fall asleep when we'd watch a movie or something, and when I'd wake him up to go to bed he would talk like he was speaking in tongues while looking right at me. Like I was an idiot for not understanding him.

It freaked me the fuck out the first couple of times. Then I commenced to fuck with him.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I met a guy in '77 who took meth, and had pictures to show himself over the course of the 23 days during which he claimed he did not "sleep". He looked a physical wreck in those pics. I'll bet he's been dead for a long time, now. You'll not get me on that treadmill, ever.

RE: Sleep deprived
I've shared this here before but it's brief and fits the thread so ...

When I was in my early 20's and in my first marriage my ex told me I had said in my sleep "Take a balloon. 500 watts. It'll work!" She woke me up to find out what would work but I had no recollection of what I'd been dreaming about once awoken.
