Does anyone else feel disgusted by religious words?

RE: Does anyone else feel disgusted by religious words?
Since you can read it in the original German, you ought to check out Also Sprach Zarathustra. You might have more appreciation for religious words once you witness a brilliant atheist wield them with deadly precision.

You, and only you, GC. You're just saying words, not knowing what and why you're even saying them.

So love and kindness and all the other things I mention are not moral, glad I do not live in your world. Guess what little one the word belief was used long before Christianity and you practice belief every day of your life, the next time you sit in a chair remember this.

GC

I meant that Christianity isn't moral just because it uses kind words. And belief means to accept something as true without evidence, I don't do that. I might believe something without proof in the sense that I see it as a possibility, but I'm not sure it's true.

Yeah, I believe that chair won't break and make me land on my ass because of Physics. I believe the meds the doc gives me when I'm sick will cure me because of Biology. I practice belief everyday because it's based on science, not something written in a book thousands of years ago and backed by some guy who hasn't proven his existence to me.

Then belief is part of your world.

I'm a wood worker and I can tell you that trusting a chair to hold you up because of science is a foolish thing, could be the wood worker doesn't know or care about science. The meds I'm taking for the crud is not helping and am going to have do take something different, science failed. just because a book was written thousands of years ago doesn't mean it's not valid. God doesn't have to prove himself to you, it's your responsibility to accept Him. This universe and all that's in it are His, even you, He can do with what He owns as He sees fit.

I have a very clear idea of what I say, unfortunately for you you can't recognize it.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Yes, but not the religious belief. The word belief might be used when you know something with evidence to support it. It's when it's without evidence I dislike it.

a) Well if he isn't proving himself to me then fuck him. I don't recognize any such responsibility. And I'm not his lmao if I decide to do something I will do it. He doesn't get to tell me what to do.  Big Grin This is actually hilarious.

When you sit in a chair there is no evidence it will hold you up, you think it will because you haven't to date had one to collapse under you, hint if you have I wouldn't say a thing because I will laugh into next week. You believe in evolution yet there is no evidence that it has ever taken place. The only way it could would be for DNA to naturally gain new information and it simply can't.

So you intend to laugh yourself all the way into hell, know that's a real reasonable attitude isn't it.

Are you from an English speaking country? Because if you are, I can't take you seriously if you say know instead of now. Can't, not won't. If you aren't a native English speaker, or if it was a typo, my sincerest apologies.
And it'd be pretty cool if I ended up in hell laughing like a maniac, I'd fit right in. No, I don't intend to laugh myself all the way to hell, because I ain't going to no hypothetical place anyways. Won't believe in it unless I see rock solid proof.

Spending all eternity with you and your God would be the true hell.
