You Mean We Can't Disenfranchise Democrats?

Well fuck. What's the point of winning if you can't oppress people!

Quote:Gerrymandered North Carolina congressional districts drawn by Republicans ruled unconstitutional
Quote:The judges — James A. Wynn, a Barack Obama appointee to the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and federal District Judges W. Earl Britt, a Jimmy Carter appointee, and William L. Osteen Jr., a George W. Bush appointee — were unanimous that North Carolina lawmakers under Republican leadership violated the Constitution's equal-protection clause when they drew maps explicitly to favor their party.

You would disenfranchise Republicans in a second if it were up to you.
But gerrymandering is total bullshit.

Hillary didn't have a problem disenfranchising Democrat primary voters in 2016.
Guess I'm finding this an especially and particularly odd topic to be bringing up . . . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

How? By holding a gun to their heads so that they voted for her?
Which they did....overwhelmingly.

I fear Bernie Busters are going to be the people who snatch defeat from the jaws of victory next round.
Maybe we should find the next, younger upstart progressives to take back the governor, congressional and senate seats?
And yes, I voted Sanders in the primary. So I feel I can call attention to the bitterness-complex in the Sanderista contingent because the last thing we need is a leftist Trump to fuck our shit up. Bitterness only begets bitterness. The only way you change the establishment is voting in new blood. Not railing at it, whining about it or pouting like a child because a large, well known minority overwhelmingly chose the name they're familiar with in the previous primary and had longer term preexisting relationships with said choice.

I live here. And I moved here in 05. I knew something was up after Obama won the first time, when in the 08 election my poling place was diverse as hell. But after he won the first time in 10 seemed like all the black people were not there, and even his second run far less, at the same polling place. Now when I go I see nothing but white people.
It was fishy as hell. I know even with white liberals, we have a bad history of not showing up in midterms, but the difference from year to year was striking. I lived in Northern Va when I first started voting, and never did that mix change. Shit, even in Lynchburg it seemed more even, and that was Fuckwell's city.

No, but if Gerrymandering were to work to advantage the Democrat vote over the Republican vote you'd be all for it.

The Democrats need a moderate who at least has a message that will resonate with the blue collar workers in the Rust Belt and Coal States. With the economy, the market, and the jobs numbers on the rise, the Dems have an uphill battle to climb. Although they may win a seat in the House since Darrell Issa is retiring.

The primary election. The P-R-I-M-A-R-Y. Sound it out. You know, the one RIGGED against Bernie. Rigged elections by definition disenfranchise the voters.
Is it too much to ask that folks not comprehending my posts not bother replying to them ??
