The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Center for Health Statistics released the final U.S. mortality data for 2016 in December. The report marks the second consecutive year the average life expectancy for the national population has decreased, from 78.7 years in 2015 to 78.6 years in 2016.

I can assure you that 2017 will be even worse.
